LenderDock Insight Documentation
The dashboard is where you will spend a lot of your time monitoring your metrics, and it serves as a starting point to creating new metrics or sharing the dashboard with other users and stakeholders.
You can view the dashboard menu on the left side by clicking the ">" arrow button at the top left. At the top you can search to find a specific dashboard you want to see. You can create and name a new blank dashboard by clicking on the plus button next to "All Dashboards."
The list of dashboards at the top shows your favorited dashboards, and below that is a full list of the dashboards visible to you. To add a dashboard to the "Favorite Dashboards" list, simply click on the star next to the dashboard name in the second section.
The "All Dashboards" list displays the names alphabetically, but you can rearrange the order of favorited dashboards by clicking and dragging at the far left of the dashboard name.
To close the dashboard menu, click on the arrow button again at the top left of the screen.
You can filter most metrics on the fly using the dashboard-level filters found at the top right of the dashboard. You have the option to add any custom filters and change the date range and grouping for each metric.
By default, each Metric tile displays the Date Range selected in the Data Explorer Metric Builder. However, this Date Range is dynamic. You can change the Date Range by selecting a different time period from the dropdown. When you select a new Date Range, all Data Explorer Metrics will update on the Dashboard.
In the example below, each metric is displaying data for the Last 30 Days. I can use the Date Range Filter to display data for the Last 60 Days, or Year to Date.
To remove the Filter, simply click the "X" to the right of the Filter, all Metrics on the Dashboard will revert to the Date Range defined in the Metric Builder.
Please note your Metric must have Data for the selected time frame for LenderDock Insight to display the results. If you select a date range that your chart doesn't have data for, you will get the following messaging on the Metric Tile: "You have no data for this metric."
Just like the Date Range, each Metric on your Dashboard displays your chart's selected Grouping from the Metric Builder by default. However, if you would like to see more granular data, or more aggregated data, you can select a different Grouping granularity (day, week, month, quarter, year) directly on the Dashboard.
In the example below, "Sales by Close Date" and "Count of Deals by Lead Source" are both grouped by Day. I can use the Grouping Filter to change my chart's display from Daily Grouping, to Weekly, or Monthly.
To remove the Filter, simply click the "X" to the right of the Filter, all Metrics on the Dashboard will revert to the Grouping defined in the Metric Builder.
To apply a Filter, click on the Filter name and define the criteria. LenderDock Insight automatically selects the "is one of" operator but you can override that selection if you want to use another operator (ex: "greater than"). You can apply multiple Filters to the Dashboard by defining criteria for each one. You can also collapse the Filters by selecting the "X Filters Applied" button.
When a Dashboard Filter is applied, each Metric tile will indicate if the Filter was applied or not applied. The color of the dot and corresponding messaging can be helpful if you are trying to troubleshoot.
· A green dot means the filter was successfully applied. Next to the green dot, LenderDock Insight also lists the column used to Filter the metric, ex: "Close Date."
· A red dot means there was no column to Filter by. There are two scenarios in which your metric doesn't have a column to Filter by:
1. If you have selected a Date Range Filter, you most likely don't have a Date column in your Metric's Charted Table of Data.
2. If you have applied a Custom Filter, the red dot indicates the applied Filter is not setup for that Metric.
· A gray dot means that the Filter does not apply to the Metric. There are two scenarios in which a Filter does not apply to a Metric:
1. If you have applied a Custom Filter, the gray dot indicates the Custom Filter has "Filter does not apply" in the Column to Filter by selection of the Filter settings.
2. If you have a Grouping Filter applied and the metric is not grouped by a date column.
In the header of any dashboard screen, you can search for a specific dashboard or metric by clicking the magnifying glass at the top right. Dashboards and metrics are distinguished by the icons on the left in the results listing. Results will be shown alphabetically with metrics showing up first, then dashboards.
To see the options for a specific metric, click on the three-dot menu button at the top right of that metric.
2. Details View: This shows the LenderDock Insight user who created the metric, the data source used, and the last time the metric data has been updated. It will also display the metric description if one has been added.
3. History View: See how the metric has changed in the past.
4. Chart Type: See what your metric would look like with other compatible chart types.
5. Date Range and Grouping: You can change the date range for the data that the chart is displaying. If the metric is based on a date range, you can group the data by day, week, month, and quarter.
6. Custom Filters: Filter the data being used in the chart.
If you see a message that filtering is unavailable for that metric, then you need to select the columns you want to be able to add filters to in the chart tab of the Metric builder. The date and custom filters all work the same as the dashboard-level filters.
7. Export Chart Data: Export data from Chart in CSV (via email)
8. Next/Previous Metric: Rotate through the metrics on the current dashboard.
